    What Is Range?

Range was founded in 2021 by Fahad Hassan and David Cusatis, a former Amazon engineer. Their aim was to provide holistic financial planning to users at a reasonable cost, without restrictive high-investment minimums. Today, Range has $400 million in assets under management, more than $9.5 billion in assets under advisement, and serves over 5,000 customers in all 50 states. In late 2025, Range made a couple of significant announcements, including $60 million in Series C funding and the appointment of Haroon Mokhtarzada, CEO of Rocket Money, to its board of advisors.

    What Does It Offer?

Range’s platform covers several key areas of financial planning, including investment, retirement, and tax planning. Here’s a closer look at its key features:

    Investment Planning

Range’s investment management services include a full portfolio analysis. It will review your current portfolio to assess its overall health. It will let you know if you are overweight (or underweight) in certain positions, and make recommendations. Instead of charging the typical “percentage of assets under management”, Range charges yearly, flat-fee subscription pricing, with three different tier options. (We’ll get to the pricing later). And you don’t need to hand your investments over to Range to manage.

Their team of professionals can make portfolio recommendations without managing the assets directly. Range’s investment management services are provided through its partner,  Altruist.

    Retirement Planning

Range helps you build a personalized retirement strategy by weighing your plan against potential risks. This allows them to assess potential risks and make recommendations for adjustments where necessary. Range’s advisors will build a strategy that takes into account your investments, tax planning, and withdrawal strategies.

    Legacy Planning

Legacy and estate planning are critical to your long-term financial plan, and Range takes them into account for its clients. It doesn’t replace an estate attorney, but it can help you assess your estate strategy, make the right beneficiary designations, and set long-term wealth transfer goals. If you’re thinking about generational wealth planning, this service could be very useful.

    Real Estate Planning

If you own property or are considering buying investment real estate, Range can help you evaluate how it will fit into your overall financial strategy. This can include analyzing your financial decisions, your rental income potential, and any potential tax implications of property ownership. Real estate makes up a large portion of personal wealth for many high-net-worth investors, so including it in your financial plan can give you a more accurate long-term view of your financial situation.

    Equity Compensation

Many professionals, especially those in tech or at startups, receive a portion of their income in the form of equity compensation. Range is equipped to provide advice on stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and other equity compensation. Its advisors can help you evaluate everything from tax implications to vesting schedules and diversification strategies.

    Cash Flow Monitoring

Range can connect to your financial accounts at various banks and investment firms. By aggregating all your accounts, you can track your income and expenses in a single view. Range will help you optimize your cash flow and make budget and cash flow projections.

    Are There Any Fees?

As mentioned, Range works on a flat-fee, subscription basis. While you will need to decide whether the price is worth it for you, we appreciate the transparency and simplicity of its pricing model. The following table breaks down the pricing for each plan and some key features. Check out Range’s pricing page for a full list of what’s available with each plan.

    How Does Range Compare?

Range sits somewhere between a robo-advisor and a traditional wealth management firm. Platforms like Empower and Betterment primarily focus on investment management and automated portfolio strategies, though both offer some access to human advisors. If you’re looking for DIY tools and lower-cost services, both of these platforms may offer more value than Range. If you have more complex financial needs and a large investment portfolio, and want more hands-on advice, Range could be the way to go.

How Do I Open An Account?

You can get started with Range by heading to its website and clicking the yellow “Join Now” button in the top right corner of the homepage. From there, you’ll need to enter your name, email, and phone number. You’ll then be asked a series of personal questions, including your annual household income, whether you file your own taxes or hire someone to do it for you, your investing preferences, and so on. With your permission, a Range representative will then call you to meet and give you a full product demo.

    Is It Safe And Secure?

Range is a registered investment advisor (RIA) and uses technology to sync to your financial accounts. Like most similar platforms, it uses encryption and security protocols to protect your personal information. It’s important to note that as an RIA, Range has a fiduciary duty to make recommendations with your best interests in mind. Its team of Certified Financial Planners (CFPs) is made up of professionals who must adhere to strict educational, training, and ethical standards.

    How Do I Contact Range?

Range lists three physical addresses on its website, including the following address in Virginia:
    8270 Greensboro Dr.
    Suite 910
    McLean, VA 22102

Other offices are located in NYC and Bellevue, WA.

While it doesn’t display a customer support email or phone number on its site, users have 24/7 access to ask questions to a professional advisor.

    Is It Worth It?

Range takes an interesting spin on modern wealth management. If you’re a high-income earner or have a complex financial situation, Range’s approach may add meaningful value. We like that it can handle your investments, taxes, retirement planning, and other advanced financial concerns within the same platform, and with access to professional fiduciary financial planners. And we also like the flat-fee pricing, which is simple and transparent. However, we don’t see Range as suitable for the average investor with a smaller portfolio. With fees starting at $2,950, you’d need a pretty large portfolio (at least $300,000 or more) to see any value.

Even then, you’d need to take advantage of most of its services, since you can find cheaper, DIY platforms that easily handle the basics for much lower cost.
