Living in Tennessee means winter weather is unpredictable at best and stressful at worst. Currently, families across the Southeast (and much of the East Coast) are preparing for what many are calling a “massive winter storm” that could create treacherous conditions and widespread power outages throughout the weekend. As I made my preparation list last night, I realized I was missing one thing: a power bank that could charge both my phone and my laptop.

Enter the UGREEN Nexode 25,000mAh Power Bank, which Amazon is currently deeply discounting to just $79.99.

    UGREEN Power Bank Capabilites

This power bank has enough capacity to handle real devices, not just top off a phone once and call it a day. With up to 200W of output, it can charge phones, tablets, and even laptops, which immediately checks the box I realized was missing from my storm prep list. If the power goes out overnight or if outages drag on longer than expected, having something that can keep both my phone and laptop alive feels like a necessity, not a luxury.

Another thing I appreciate is that it can charge multiple devices at once. Given that my household includes three pre-teens who often forget to charge their devices on a typical day, it will be nice to be able to charge one child’s iPad while another’s phone charges. The built-in display is also a nice touch, clearly showing how much battery is left so you can plan instead of guessing.

I also like that this isn’t a one-time, emergency-only purchase. Once winter storm season passes, it’s still useful for travel, working in the car line at my kids’ school, and long stretches away from outlets. It’s compact enough to throw in a bag, but powerful enough that it doesn’t feel like a backup you can’t rely on.

At $79.99 (down from $129.99), this is one of those deals that feels smart to grab before the weather turns bad. In places like Tennessee — and across much of the Southeast — storms don’t always come with much warning, and preparation often makes the difference between inconvenience and real stress.

    UGREEN Charge 3 Devices

If you’re building a storm kit this week, a high-capacity power bank belongs right alongside flashlights and batteries. Staying charged means staying connected, informed, and a little more in control when the weather outside doesn’t cooperate.
